Radio tags on students anger India

New Delhi today took strong exception to the American police action of ordering the nearly 1,400 Indian students by the Tri valley University fraud to put radio tags on their legs in order to track them.

Facebook founder Zuckerberg's fan page hacked

SAN FRANCISCO: Facebook on Wednesday said a software "bug" let a hacker impersonate the social network's founder Mark Zuckerberg in a comment posted to his public fan page at the website.

The bogus update posted late on Monday suggested that Facebook turn to its users instead of banks for money and got "liked" by more than 1,800 members of the social network before it was erased.

"A bug enabled status postings by unauthorized people on a handful of public pages," a Facebook spokesperson said in an email reply to an AFP inquiry. "The bug has been fixed."

Pictures of the hacked page could be found at technology news blog TechCrunch and other online venues. The message, complete with typos, left on the page read

Man seeks cop cover from sex-crazy wife

BERLIN: A desperate Turkish man living in Germany has turned to the police for protection from his insatiable wife's constant demands for sex, authorities said on Wednesday.

The man came to his local police station in southwestern Germany on Tuesday saying that he had been sleeping on the sofa for the past four years to escape the clutches of his wife of 18 years and mother of their two children.

"Now he has decided to get a divorce and to move out... in the hope of finally getting some rest, particularly as he is anxious to arrive at work well rested," police said in a statement.

"At the moment this is impossible because he says his wife keeps coming into the living room demanding that he perform his marital duties. He asked for police help in getting some sleep at night," the police statement said.

No MBA entry without a test

MUMBAI: Pulling up states that admitted management aspirants on the basis of graduation scores, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has ruled that a student can't be enrolled in a post-graduate management programme without entrance exam marks.

Lastly, admission to the courses shall not start before 31 March of the academic year; the session will begin from June 1 to May 31 of succeeding year.

Court lifts ban on carrying kirpan at US Gurdwara

A local court in Rochester(USA) has lifted the ban on carrying a kirpan into the Gurdwara Sahib Rochester almost six months after it was imposed in view of some a bid by some persons to take control over the gurdwara.

TRAI to bring out paper on 4G services

Even as telecom operators in the country are yet to fully start 3G mobile services,the Telecom Regularoty Authority of India(TRAI) today said it would come out with a consultation paper on fourth generation mobile services by the middle of this year.

China's 'Google Earth' does't budge on Arunachal, Aksai Chin

China today offically launched it's state-run mapping website that rivals Google Earth,Showing Arunachal Pardesh and Aksai Chin in Jammu and Kashmir-two key areas of dispute with India -as part of it's territory.
The map called 'Map World displayed on the internet in chinese language is already being used in I phone and other mobile and Internet user applications in China.
